About the Technology
An elevator shaft is a vertical monolithic reinforced concrete structure that forms space for elevator equipment movement and accepts loads from adjacent building elements. Such structures require precise geometry, rigidity, and compliance with design levels throughout the height.
Works are carried out according to the project, considering shaft dimensions, door openings, embedded parts, guides, pit, machine room, or technical zone. On-site, formwork is installed, reinforcement cage is mounted, sleeves, releases, and embedded elements are installed, followed by concreting with control over verticality, dimensions, and surface quality.
Main Stages:
- Work Zone Preparation - checking base, axes, levels, reinforcement releases, and readiness of adjacent structures.
- Formwork Installation - installing panels and fasteners to form shaft walls, openings, and pit.
- Reinforcement - tying the reinforcement cage, installing fixators, embedded parts, and technological elements.
- Geometry Check - controlling verticality, shaft dimensions, door openings, protective layers, and junction nodes.
- Concreting and Handover - supply and compaction of concrete mix, concrete care, formwork removal, and as-built documentation preparation.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can work start without a full project?
A project is required for elevator shafts, as dimensions, verticality, door openings, pit, and equipment embedded parts are important. We can preliminarily estimate volumes and prepare organizational solutions.
-
Can work be performed in winter?
Yes, subject to winter concreting technology. It is important to ensure temperature regime, structure protection, and concrete strength gain control.
-
How is work quality controlled?
We check axes, levels, verticality, formwork, reinforcement, protective layers, openings, and embedded parts. Hidden works are recorded in acts and logs.
-
How long does elevator shaft installation take?
The duration depends on building height, number of shafts, formwork complexity, reinforcement, and concreting schedule. The exact term is determined after project analysis.
