Installation of Inter-floor Monolithic Floors
Inter-floor monolithic floors separate building floors, accept operational loads, and transfer them to walls, columns, and other bearing elements of the frame. The quality of their installation affects building rigidity, floor geometry, and the pace of further construction and installation works.
Works are carried out according to the project: formwork and supporting posts are installed, reinforcement is mounted, embedded elements and opening formers are installed, followed by concreting. It is important to maintain levels, slab thickness, protective layer, mix compaction quality, and strength gain regime.
Main Stages
- Work Zone Preparation - we check levels, axes, bearing structure readiness, and formwork installation conditions.
- Formwork Installation - we install the formwork system, posts, beams, and decking under the design floor thickness.
- Reinforcement - we install reinforcement meshes, reinforcements, releases, embedded parts, and openings according to working documentation.
- Concreting - we lay concrete mix, perform vibration compaction, and control uniform filling of the structure.
- Concrete Care and Formwork Removal - we ensure strength gain conditions, then remove formwork and check floor geometry.
Advantages
-
High load-bearing capacity of the floor
-
Rigid connection between monolithic frame elements
-
Ability to install openings, reinforcements, and complex geometry
-
Good compatibility with columns, walls, and beams
-
Structure durability with compliance with concreting technology

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can floor installation start without a project?
No, inter-floor floors are bearing structures. Before starting work, we need design solutions for slab thickness, reinforcement, loads, openings, and concrete.
-
Can work be performed in winter?
Yes, monolithic floors can be performed in winter. For this, anti-freeze measures, heating, covering, and concrete temperature control are used.
-
How is work quality controlled?
We check levels, formwork, reinforcement, protective layer, embedded elements, concrete mix quality, and strength gain regime. After formwork removal, we control geometry and surface condition.
-
How long does floor installation take?
The duration depends on floor area, slab thickness, reinforcement volume, work height, and concreting pace. Usually, floors are performed in the general cycle of monolithic frame construction.
