Monolithic Column Installation
Monolithic columns accept vertical loads from floors, beams, and upper building structures. The accuracy of their installation affects the frame geometry, load-bearing capacity, and the pace of further monolithic works.
Works include base preparation, reinforcement cage installation, formwork mounting, concreting, and strength gain control. It is important to maintain the design position of columns, concrete protective layer, mix compaction quality, and structure verticality.
Main Stages
- Work Zone Preparation - we check levels, axes, reinforcement releases, and base readiness for column installation.
- Reinforcement Cage Installation - we install reinforcement according to the project, control splicing, fixation, and protective layer.
- Formwork Installation - we mount the formwork system, set up geometry, and check structure verticality.
- Concreting - we supply concrete mix, perform laying and vibration compaction without disturbing reinforcement position.
- Formwork Removal and Quality Control - we remove formwork after strength gain, check surface, geometry, and compliance with the project.
Advantages
-
High load-bearing capacity of the structure

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Can column installation start without a full project?
A working project is required for bearing structures. Without it, we can only preliminarily estimate volumes, technology, and work sequence, but concreting cannot start without design solutions.
-
Can work be performed in winter?
Yes, monolithic columns can be concreted in winter. For this, winter mixes, heating, structure covering, and concrete temperature control are used.
-
How is column quality controlled?
We check axes, verticality, reinforcement, protective layer, formwork quality, and concrete mix quality. After formwork removal, we control geometry and surface condition.
-
How long does column installation take?
The duration depends on the number of columns, floor height, formwork type, and concreting rate. Usually, works are planned in conjunction with the general monolithic frame construction schedule.
